Fate/Another v1.12(part 4) Patch Note

* Archer(5th)
- Base mana increased(1000->1100)
- Base health increased(1100->1200)
- Stat distribution per level adjusted(1.4/0.8/0.8->1.1/0.8/1.1), primary stat changed to INT
- Fixed a bug where Hrunting and Broken Phantasm could be fired across different realm
- All Sword Barrage spells now cost 100 mana
- New ability - Sword Barrage - Retreat(Q): Archer immediately retreats backward and strikes area in a line with several swords, each ministunning and dealing damage
- Sword Barrage - Bombard cooldown and channeling duration reduced(5->3.5), damage reduced(200/250/300/350/400->200/225/250/275/300)
- Combo:Arrow Rain's broken phantasm now deals 66% of original damage
- Attribute:Improve Projection mana cost reduced(13->12). No longer improves Kanshou Bakuya. Now improves Sword Barrage - Retreat instead, causing it to apply 30% slow for 2 seconds. Level 2 passive sword base damage reduced(75->50)
- Attribute:Kanshou Bakuya Overedge now has fixed cooldown of 60 seconds

* Berserker(4th)
- Arondite no longer grants passive movement speed

* Assassin(5th)
- Mind's Eye damage type changed to Pure. AGI ratio reduced(0.3/0.9, 0.8/2.4 -> 0.15/0.45, 0.4/1.2)
- Fixed a bug where on-hit effect on secondary targets of Tsubame Gaeshi with Attribute:Ganryu inflicted damage to primary target instead

* Lancer(5th)
- Rune of Flame bonus damage reduced(0/2.5/5/7.5/10%->0/1/2/3/4%), on-hit bonus pure damage per stck reduced(3/4/5/6/7->1/2/3/4/5)
- Combo: Wesen Gae Bolg now silences target for 2 seconds
- Attribute:The Heartseeker AD ratio on Gae Bolg reduced(3->2), AD ratio on Wesen Gae Bolg increased(1.5->3). No longer has STR dependent component.

* Rider(5th)
- Bloodfort Andromeda casting point reduced(2.5->2.0). This change does not affect Bellerophon II

* Caster(Extra)
- Soulstream now deals 175% additional damage to Gigantic Horror

* True Assassin
- Snatch Strike damage reduced(35%->30%)

* Caster(4th)
- Oceanic Demon bounty increased(15->50), XP bounty increased(15->30)
- Tentacle of Destruction bounty increased(30->100)
- Fixed a bug where Abyssal Contract summon particle sometimes lasted forever
- Tentacle Hook projectile speed increased(1500->1800), now only targets enemy heroes
- Fixed a bug where victim of Tentacle Hook would occasionally get stuck to building during pull

* Announcement
- Army of the King rework is delayed to part 5 because initially proposed mechanics is unable to be implemented without compromising performance. Source 2 engine is still incapable of sustaining large amount of units. It's going to take a bit more time since I have to come up with different approach(ETA this weekend)

Fate/Another v1.12(part 3) Patch Note

* General
- Added additional hill and dense woods zone(has juke path similar to Dota 2 sidelane) to left bottom of the map
- Linken sound from spell block and slow immune can now only play once every second
- Fixed a bug where EX scroll and Dagger Throw were not blocked by spell block effect

* Berserker(4th)
- Fixed a bug where Tsubame Gaeshi did not turn Berserker's attack damage to 0% during activation(this caused him to land 3 free hits with on-hit effect)

* True Assassin
- Snatch Strike now deals % of target's max health(35% at all levels), calculated before STR reduction. STR steal amount increased(3/6/9/12/15->0/7/14/21/28)

* Berserker(5th)
- Base mana increased(1000->1100)
- Courage STR debuff reduced(10->5), cooldown reduced(16/14/12/10/8->10/9/8/7/6)

* Lancer(5th)
- Fixed a bug where Heart Break did not kill heroes with revive mechanics properly

* Lancer(4th)
- Fixed a bug where enemies affected by Love Spot did reduced damage to non-Lancer heroes
- Love Spot now also silences affected enemies(this is to prevent usage of abilities which cast point is lower than charm interval)

* Ruler(Apocrypha)
- Luminosite Eternelle cast range increased(1000->1000/1075/1150/1225/1300)
- Fixed a bug where she was not considered female

* Assassin(4th)
- Cosmic Orbit MR bonus increased(20/25/30/35/40%->50% at all levels), armor bonus increased(10/15/20/25/30->30 at all levels), resist duration now scales with level(0.25 at all levels->0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5)
- Fierce Tiger Strike third strike damage increased(25% of max health->35% of max health)
- Combo:Raging Dragon Strike sequence changed(Q-W-E -> W-E), cooldown refund on third strike fail increased(50%->75%)
- Attribute:Circulatory Shock delayed damage increased(5%->10%)
- Attribute: Improve Martial Arts mana cost reduced(14->10)
- Attribute: Furious Chain mana cost reduced(15->12)

- Improved animation clarity on few abilities
- Fixed a bug where attack damage stat granted only 2 damage instead of 3 since recent dota 2 patch

* Lancer(4th)
- Love Spot now grants 50/90% resistance against only affected female heroes instead of every female hero, now ticks every 0.25 seconds instead of 0.10

- Fixed a bug where victims of Nail Swing could not use item during pull. Victims are now rooted and dimensionally locked instead of stun

* Announcement
- Clientside spellbook for Caster is complete, but it is excluded from this patch as I find it doing more harm than good. Basically it hooks QWERDF keybind to custom event on Panorama which allows me to do my thing from there, but due to technical limitation it has few issues to be addressed(e.g all players in the game cannot use custom keybind/quickcast setting on ability 1-6). I will upload a version with spellbook enabled on Test Version if you want to try it out.

Fate/Another v1.11 Patch Note

* General
- Fixed a bug where few structures were not entirely untraversable
- Moved some ward spots to more suggestive location
- Removed invisible collision points around the bridge
- Fixed a bug where -bgmoff and -bgmon affected all players

Fate/Another v1.1 Patch Note

* General
- Team Elminination map overhaul. Couple key features include:

  • Generous amount of vegetations on Fuyuki side and near the lake
  • High ground terrain near 4 edges of map
  • Overall increase in collision terrain
  • Nicer looking UBW
  • Trees now block vision

- Fixed a bug where not picking hero before the end of first round resulted in broken game
- Fixed a bug where wards took only 55% of incoming physical damage since 6.87 patch

* Announcement
- Join new official F/A group and use Announcement function to advertise your game. I will promote you to mod as long as you are active F/A player and a decent human being(spammer/abuser does not belong in that category)

Fate/Another 1.0


I am excited to announce that we are officially out of Beta! It will still be a long way to catch up to Warcraft 3 masterpiece built through 10 years of hard work by great minds. With boundless potential of Source 2 engine(okay, a bit tipsy sometimes), however, I have a firm belief that steady endeavor will get us there one day. The patch will continue to be at least weekly, further enriching game with new contents and playability improvements. Some of proposed changes are described here.

Not much changes this patch, as I was more focused on revitalizing communities. We have seen roughly 40% increase in game activity for last 7 days compared to 2 weeks ago, putting us back to low 5 ~ high 6 page on weekly Most Popular list. Keep it up!

* General
- Non-dedicated server version is now available for when you, for some reason, need to play on local host instead of dedicated server. Link here
- Fixed some textures not being applied correctly
- Added voicework for Avenger, Rider(4th), and Rider(5th). Two more to go. Shoutout to Filo for his continued support :)

* Announcement
- As the old Steam group was catching dust with most of members quit long ago, I have created a new group. Please join this group to hang around with fellow players and get game announcement while not on Dota 2! . I am also looking for few responsible moderators from different regions who will be given an Announce privilege which creates steam popup to all members on group.
- After 2 months of vacancy, I am back actually moderating our official Subreddit again. Also looking for a mod or 2 here, preferably someone with a bit of CSS skill to improve subreddit. hit me up if interested.

Tasks on the Line

With official release on horizon, I would like to go over what you can expect from the game in months to come.

* Building fully custom stash 
Dota 2 item mechanics has been my enemy ever since I've had my foot on doorstep of Dota 2 modding scene, due to how limited control I have over it. While the shop has to wait until Valve finally Panoramizes it, stash is going to be built anew to support several convenient features, add some cool mechanics(e.g bind the items in stash for X seconds), and potentially fix the crash issue.

* Adding more vibrant visual cue 
Noble-Phantasm tier abilities with high threat level often don't have a glaring graphics that screams 'dodge this or I am going to destroy you', causing players to not recognize incoming danger. I am hoping to address it in coming months. This will be done alongside with CC unification

* Reworking outdated abilities
Some abilities of classic Servants(Fate score beta level classic) are quite outdated and could use some love, such as Rider's passive.
Not particularly outdated, but Iskander may be reworked again since I am not very happy about current state of Army of the King. It feels clunky and unintuitive to use. Chariot is likely going to be left as is.

* New hero
When designing new hero, I usually give it as long as a month brainstorming and creating several different versions until one of them really rings in my head.

I had that last night with Astolfo from Fate/Apocrypha.

* Reconstructing terrain for Team Elimination
The first and standard map fate_elim_6v6 was built on custom meshes, as opposed to trio/FFA's built-in tile-based map. Now that I've got a better hang of tool, I can put together much nicer one that doesn't look like a lego.

* Russian Translation
A custom game cannot be successful when it is not easily accessible to two largest ethnic/linguistic groups on Dota 2; Chinese and Russian. We have several Russian translators working on localization at the moment, so expect to have full Russian support within this month.

* Balance
